Free English Test
In order to find the right course, we need to find out your level. We use six stages, in line with the Common European Framework system.
Our test consists of two parts; spoken and written. It is very rare to have the same result in both parts so it is essential that you do both of them.
The written test
takes up to half an hour and consists of fifty multiple choice questions. Please don't get any help in answering the questions as this will produce an incorrect result.
You can do the test online by clicking the link below, have it sent to you by post or
email or come into BTC to do it.

The spoken test
takes about ten minutes and is done as a conversation with one of our teachers, who will then advise you on which courses are suitable for you. It is recommended that you come in to BTC to do this, although it is possible to do it by telephone.
